Help choosing paint colour/s for hallway and landing space
Comments (14)Hi, I'm currently going through the same issue, Trying to find the right combo of paints to paint the hallway. I am looking to panel the part beneath the dado to prevent the ever so frustrating scuffing which occurs at sharp corners and am unsure on the colour combo. I was considering grey and white too but I'm scared that it may make the space feel too cold and dull especially as the only light will be through the door which won't be much. What colour combo's would you recommend to make the space feel luxurious and modern, yet not too clinical and cold?? I'd like the paint to be dulux preferably. what is the quality of Valspar paint like, I've seen it at DIY stores but don't know if it reaches standard of dulux? any reviews?? thanks...See MoreHallway colour schemes
Comments (2)When you say banister do you mean handrail? The joinery company I'm associated with do heaps of these makeovers. It's a very popular choice so go for it. You can swap the handrail to a timber one and have glass on the sides as opposed to spindles. The glass can be in big or small pieces and can be inserted direct into the base rail or you can have glass holders. You can leave the side of the stairs as they are or also have them laminated in timber to match the handrail. It looks lovely when it's done....See MoreAdvice on 1930s hallway colour scheme
Comments (59)😂oh my goodness! We’ve spent a fortune in sample pots! Lots of Little greene, mylands… all the greens in the world! Your tiles is gorgeous!!! Because it’s quite bold, I feel it would need to have a bold, dark colour on the wall to bring everything together! Even if a darkish hallway, it does work 👍🏻. We were set on Calke green until someone on instagram mentioned about green smoke. We’ve got a sample pot and that was it! OH fell in love with it! 🤷🏻♀️😂👍🏻...See MoreCan you help with colour scheme for hallway and landing
Comments (1)The entrance to your house provides the opportunity to be bold with colour. This space sets the expectations for the rest of the home on entry. You could consider whether you would like a fresh bright feel created by cool light tones or a comforting warm hug utilising warm tones and warm light. This could link with other rooms to become part of the whole property and larger space or contrast the other rooms to create a moment of build up before entering the other spaces. Glamour can mean different things to different people - quality materials, lighting atmosphere, a statement wow factor or reserved sophistication. Hope that helps, Ellen...See MoreSaddaf Ejaz
