Who makes the tub filler?

It looks like the base of the tub filler in metal? And what are the dimensions of that plate?

Hello! It's a Delta brand, very similar to the Trillian model they have now. It has a 5 9/16" plate. Also, be sure to review the spout reach before placement to make sure the spills completely in to the tub!

We have a set up which is pretty good, I think: We have the Bette Ocean bath which has a large internal size, and one straight end, so is good for showering in. Any bath with fairly slim sides and one straight end should work. We have a glass bath screen that folds inwards flat against the wall. For this you need a screen that pivots 180 degrees (ours is by Matki iirc). Our shower head is mounted high up so the screen clears it. The bath/shower controls are on the other wall so not in the way of the shower screen either - also avoids the wet arm issue. Finally, we have a bath filler mounted on the side of the bath, so no tap to bump against. hope this helps

Hi Kelly, This bath/ shower is available as sit on top or semi-recessed in Corian finish with Slats in HPL and round edges on the inside. Standard dimensions are 170/190 x 80/90 x 45/55H cm but it can be customized. Includes Internal Overflow, Trap and Drain System. RRP starts at £5,905 plus VAT. Everything Jonathan says is correct. You have to factor in the prep for the room. Removing tiles re-doing the water pipes, chasing them in to the walls etc. Then the re-tiling. The labour is the biggest budget usually. We went for rectified porcelain...........not for the faint hearted. Nasa would have a problem drilling through those. So, yes, as above choose the tiles carefully. Our bathroom is roughly the size of yours without the corner missing. So, take 25% off the tile cost of the tiles:- The tiles were £1500 ( wall and floor ) - The wall tiles are 900mm x 450 the floor tiles are 1200 x 300 Bath - half price £695 Shower - half price £299 Toilet - full price £450 Vanity Full price £699 Bath taps £300 Basin taps £150 Shower valve £150 Shower head and arm £150 Shower spray hose and head £150 Aquapanel £95 Tile adhesive £95 Coloured Grout £45 Total cost of purchases £3,278 We ( the wife - my labourer and I ), took down two walls, moved a doorway, put one wall back up. We re-routed all the pipework, central heating, hot and cold feet, chased pipes in to the walls etc. The whole thing took 3 weeks and I had a tiler friend help me for 3 days. Plus on top of that I had a plasterer in for the weekend for £400. Thus we only paid £1200 for the labour. If I had charged for my labour - plus mate for say 2 weeks, ( not three - as I wasn't working flat out ) instead of doing it for free it would have cost a further £2,500. Total labour should have been :- £3,700 plus the purchases £ 3,278 = £6,978 The bathroom is a luxury bathroom, so yes it's at the higher end of the market, but you can see how things mount up. Even when you try and save on the items going in, it's still the labour that gets you. A bathroom is a horrible, job, i'd rather do a kitchen any day and that's bad enough.

I have no idea why I couldnt reply on the mobile app... ah well. The general dry weight is 400kg which I have to say isnt major, a lot is comprised of the main air/water pumps. If they are not removeable/replaceable then the warranty of the tub isnt worth squat. I would imagine up to 4 people, a wall that can take the weight is there to rest on, and if really fussy about the initial lift, perhaps a fork lift. Once up, all it needs is to be moved forward and gradually lowered inside on perhaps a load bearing air bag as is conventionally used. Not sure what you mean about twist, there is tilting and side space all the way around the space, it's not a tight letterbox. These things commonly get rolled in by one, maybe 2 people on it's side on a trolley, many will fit through a doorway, and then 2 people would gently lower it down. Sometimes, they are crane lifted over the house!... I see not reason it couldnt be lifted relatively flat over a short wall. There are a lot of tub only 60-70cm high (2x2m), that should just trolley dolly through the door, in fact many advertised to fit through a standard domestic doorway, this is larger, with just as much head room, so for the life of me, I can't understand why they look at this construction and run a mile, make it out to be more difficult than it actually is. I do have an option, buy a build a spa and put the thing together myself, there is zero issue getting the components in there, maybe the spa house is for bigger than it looks on a photograph! That said, hot tubs all break down, many go to the stores in parts to assemble, many are put together on site.... so why can't I find a company who will do on-site assembly. My opinion is that companies are only interested in sending monkey cowboy muscle to do installations, so unless it's dead easy, roll in and flit, theyre not interested. My electrician told me about one delivered only just down the road where they dumped it in that hard, they mangled the power supply on the hot tub that badly he had to completely replace it.
