Shelves for a bathroom

We have a bit of gap above our toilet and it seems like some shelves would be good for storage.
What would recommend to go there? We have white tiles on the wall. and the space isn't particularly wide (about 50cm), so there may be some restrictions.
We also have an access panel to the left, so it would be good to keep that accessible somehow. because of that I've thought of a hanging rope shelf - does anyone have these and can recommend them?
Example of the shelves I was thinking about. It must be hard to keep these balanced??
