Bathroom window blinds
Comments (13)angelaew The glass is already privacy textured, the aim is to provide more privacy than a film (or similar can provide) as the bathroom is on the first floor at the front of the house. Bagpuss DO you think it would look odd to have the blinds only covering the lower 2 windows? The blinds are likely to be drawn almost all the time, and not covering the top 2 windows will allow more light through. Camilla I too love plantation shutters, but budget doesnt stretch to that at the moment (the whole bathroom needs renovating, so the solution I put in place now will likely be replaced when the bathroom gets renewed (indeed the location of the bathroom may move entirely in the house if I do the planned extension, but that is a few years away yet!) Hillarys Thanks for the link, I wasn't aware of those blinds....See MoreBathroom blind ?
Comments (12)Nothing you need the natural light.. And I am not sure anyone would see you through this window. High up.. Just maybe add a plant or some coloured clear bottles... The sun will reflect the colours though... (But don't clutter.. Have to remove stuff for cleaning and to much would block out the light.)...See Morehelp on what paint colour to go for in this bathroom and help to updat
Comments (2)If you want to update on a budget, then I think painting the walls will help. I think a darker shade would look good, say a coffee or taupe colour maybe? I would paint the shelf the same colour as the walls and then add a plant or two, one hanging down and one spreading up and out. The tiling limits the colour palate, are they pinkish with brown and beige mosaic border? If taupe is not for you, then white walls, wooden shelving and plants would look good. Here’s some ideas...See MoreBathroom ceiling spot lights and recessed shelves
Comments (2)I’m not a big fan of downlights but they’re often a must for bathrooms/kitchens, you could combine with wall lights/pendants either side of a mirror. By recessed shelves, do you mean a niche for toiletries etc? If so, I’d say they are extremely handy and not dated...See MoreUser
