Hi! Love those kitchen floors! What material/source are they?

We used Marmoleum floors from Ferbo. They come as a roll or in tile.

Hello Ratty, There are so many options available these days, choosing the right thing can be quite daunting. I'm sure you won't be surprised to read that I would suggest tiles, as a very practical choice. They are so easy to keep clean and work really well with underfloor heating. As Minnie suggests, Bert & May have some beautiful tiles but as with most encaustic tiles, they are quite thick, so you would need to check the level of your existing wooden floor to make sure it is compatible. if you like the idea of hexagon tiles, you could have a look at our Fizenze range. We are just building an extension at the minute and had the same problem, in the end we ditched the idea of concrete floors and continued the floating floor into the extension. We have a wet system ufh installed over 750mm insulation with dry screed over then chipboard and ply. It's due to be tiled today. I've attached photos of the floor to,ply stage and my tiles which are a matt finish concrete colour and because the are reticulate do can be laid with 1mm grout lines. Hope this helps.

As you're looking to keep things 'in a traditional style' and have a period property, we think a natural floor would be the best choice for your kitchen. We can't help imagining the lovely contrast a wood floor would make against the stone of that period fireplace too. If you think wood flooring is what you'd like then please be assured that engineered wood is suitable for kitchens. The stability of engineered also gives you the option to install underfloor heating. And, real oak can take withstand more than 100 years before it wears just 1mm. So even though engineered oak has a thinner 'wear layer' of real oak than solid wood, it's more stable and you can be confident that it will last you longer than a lifetime all the same. Hi Jeanette, Have you looked at Karndean flooring? It is a high end wood and stone effect vinyl flooring which we have used in many kitchens and bathrooms where laying real wood or stone floors are not possible. Easy to clean, good quality and fairly middle of the road price wise. Hope this helps!

Hi- I do not have the exact color available. It is a dark navy, deep blue and has very little movement. It is mostly solid.
