What are the floor tiles called/ what make are these?

I am looking to replace the floor tiles in my kitchen/pantry. There is underfloor heating under the existing so careful lifting and retiling required.

Hi there, We have an assortment of floor tiles that you could choose from! I'd recommend any colour that's darker than the wall tiles, as it should mean you won't find yourself constantly worrying about cleaning up after yourself.

Hi Donna, the world is your oyster really, your kitchen sounds quite neutral so you can go for almost anything. Gillian is right there are lots of porcelain wood effect tiles around these days and some look better than others. Porcelain tiles are very practical and hardwaring and easy to keep clean. Think about the look you are trying to achieve, do you want the floor to look ultra plain or would you consider a concrete/stone effect tile? Stone effect tiles can look stunning and will hide a multitude of sins, necessary if you have children or animals in the house. Thank you all for your comments. Very much appreciated. My wife is ruling out wood because she doesn't like the look of wood in kitchens and because we have solid wood flooring in the rest of the downstairs area and she thinks it will clash. Picture below of where out kitchen meets the hallway. Also we bought some more of those tiles yesterday to get more of a feel of what it'll look like. It does look pretty good but it does worry us about what type of table and appliance colours we will be able to get and really making it all look a bit drab perhaps? We are leaning towards sticking with relaying the same times the house already has as we have been unable to find any better looking light grey tiles. We do really like them.

Whatever tile you choose, do not install the small upstand - it is not needed if you are tiling the wall and it will make the wall appear even shorter. Make sure your worktop installer knows you don't want the upstand as you are tiling and therefore needs to do a good job and not leave a big gap at the back of the worktop - tile should cover whatever small gap might be left.
