I am about to start wiring & plumbing for a renovation project.
Oil boiler, pressurised hot water tank, with under floor heating throughout.
I have been looking into nest and hive smart thermostats and am looking for advise that any one can share, if they have any preferences.
This will be a multizone set up with 5 zones plus hot water.
It seems the Hive system requires some sort of hub to plug into your wifi (not the end of the world)
If you have multizone it seems you need to have a receiver for each thermostat, it seems I will need a plant room to house it all!
My other area of concern is the bathroom, h&s would indicate thermostats shouldn't be in the bathroom, however neither seem to offer remote sensors so it can detect the bathroom heat with a thermostat on the outside. Has anyone overcome this?
