Suggestions for small office

I'm planning on having shelving and cabinets installed in my existing workspace on my small house. I'm not sure what storage space could work best in the area of the room. Has anyone seen any ideas that'd work in this space?

I work from home too. Even though l have adequate desk space l find myself only using the same small area around the PC. Storage for files and the usual ’junk’ is a must. l would add some shelves where you have the picture on the wall. Three, 4 or even 5 depending on what you want to store if possible. lt will keep your desk area which is limited free. Mine are in MDF and then painted the same colour as the walls so they blend in.

Hello, If she is a teenager already I would suggest you to decorate the bedroom according to her age and don't make it look too childish. You could consider decorating it nicely, I actually collected some pictures to show you what I was thinking about. Despite the fact that is a small room, it's always nice to interact with the surrounding and engaging the eyes with some ornaments, wall art, colourful images, posters, etc. Wallpaper could look very pretty too, but something more sophisticated, with some stylish/elegant pattern. Why not add some mirror/s to make the space look bigger and brighter? Creating a feature wall is also a great idea, covered in a different colour or just in wallpaper. The chandelier could be the outstanding piece of the bedroom. Furniture: I pretty much like the style of this bed, perhaps you can find something similar to this. It should be enough clearance to sit at a desk, but you won't be able to stand up, and it will be claustrophobic if not open to a larger, taller space. If the ceiling slopes, you could go as low as 1.3m at the back of the desk, but you'd need full standing height (say 1.9m) at the front edge of the desk, to get in and out.

Have you considered fitting a bi/fold or sliding door or rehanging it to open into the hallway? That would resolve one end of the room. At the other I would fit a length of nice worktop across the full width and have a slot cut out at the back to allow the heat from the radiator to rise. It would also be useful for losing the wire mess from TV's and computers. Adding a small storage unit under the worktop would keep the room tidy. Putting in a sofa bed would make this a great and functioning TV/Office and occasional guest room.

Hi, I think how you decorate should really depend on your personality. Surround yourself with things or images that make you smile and make you feel good. Another thing is references to nature can actually help to reduce your stress levels. I see you already have a plant and a few wooden elements so that's great. A view out to nature would be even better if you can reposition where you sit. I think you may need to post a few images of the kind of interiors you already like so we can get an idea of your taste before we can suggest prints or clocks. Currently from your furniture your taste looks quite minimal, monochrome and quite slick? Perhaps integrating your TV into a storage wall may add a bit of interest. I hope this helps as a starting point.

I'm thinking shelves, yep. Maybe that's all I need then?

I think painting the walls a serene green would be good. I would add lots of shelving as has been suggested and paint them the same green, but use paint for wood for the shelves as it’s more hardwearing than emulsion. But kitty’s bed is top priority of course!
