High quality bathroom taps that are good value

I’m changing my bathroom around and looking for bathroom taps and showers. As I’m going for brushed gold I want to make sure I buy decent quality taps that won’t flake or turn black. The prices I’m seeing range from £100 to £400 for a standalone bathroom tap.

While the £100 price tag is very tempting I’m worried I’ll regret this down the line.

Any specific brand recommendations or tips on what to look for to determine quality?
