Hi, we designed this years ago as an entry for a design competition by Porcher-Jado. Our design was selected as the winner and it was built at the KBIS (Kitchen and Bath Industry Show). Unfortunately the concept was never translated into an actual product.

It looks really great, so clean and simple. I have shared your photos with my husband and those along with the easy to keep clean appears to have swung it in favour of boarding. Hi Vicki, I would go for bigger tiles, ones that are 60 cm x 30 cm. If you use smaller tiles the outcome may look too busy with your chosen floor tiles. I also suggest choosing very light grey wall tiles, the colour of which matches to the grey background colour of the floor tiles. That would give you the industrial sort of vibe you are aiming to achive. Order different samples and see how the combinations look in your bathroom. Hi, so we went for a 1600x800 tray with a glass panel 900 wide. That leaves an opening 700 and it looks great. I think a smaller opening, even with the bath positioned as it is, would feel too small. However we do get lots of splash on the floor. It's ok but a less soggy mat would be better. I'm good at being awear of this. My wife however thinks we have a wet room. I think a 1100 screen would pretty much stop all splash (but would need a longer tray as the 700 opening would look a bit small) and also a wider tray would obviously help slightly as the shower rose would be a fraction further from the opening. I'll add a photo, but excuse the mess! I still need to install the tiled bath and shower base panels

Sonia is absolutely right. My builder let me use his builders discount at the supplier he uses. I had a space of 100x70cm to contend with, right next to the door. You really won’t know what’s available until you trawl through their catalogues. They might also help you with any queries you might have. The space is a little small for a walk in unless you have a wet room but consider the extra building costs involved in sinking the plumbing below floor level. You need minimum width of 60-70cm for the ‘walk in’ area plus approx 90cm length of glass screen to contain the water for a walk in. I found a beautiful easy sliding door with easy clean glass from Simpson’s and I’m so glad.
