What is your biggest property turn-off?
Comments (103)I have always bought wrecks - I love renovating: and I completely agree with overpaying for a new renovation that is rubbish and soulless: I won't even view a house that has obviously been done up by one of the many "property developers" that infest London. I can cope with anything (have rectified asbestos, removed wood chip, put back period features and replaced everything from roof to digging up a floor to install underfloor heating in the past), but my absolute nos: dodgy neighbours/road, lack of off-street parking (London), a floor plan I can do nothing with, lack of potential to add value myself. I have seen (and met) some real horrors whilst looking for houses! Also, I have to have a period house: 1930s or older....See MoreBathroom Face Lift
Comments (3)I've just had my toilet and bathroom knocked into one big family bathroom. I got a builder in to do the work but consulted with an interior designer. The white gloss suite and furniture looks cold but her tips on use of colour helped to warm the room - especially in the evening when the spotlights are on. Comments (0)This brilliant transformation was sent in to us by our accredited supplier Aspect Windows. This example highlights what a difference updating your front door and windows can make. The front door is our popular CE 01 panel in one of our most sought after colour options; 7016m Anthracite Grey, with a fixed window to the left side to allow for more light. The casement windows are in the same colour to complement the door. Overall, we think that this property now looks modern, smart and the new products add a great deal of curb appeal to the property.
