Im sure they are, but their are doors that already have an arch.

If you can do an alcove or niche - that would be the best! It adds character, if arched- will match the rest of the entrances, plus could be "mistaken" for an original feature. If that's too complicated, given that that wall is asymmetrical, I'd hang more than one thing on it. You could buy several small round mirrors (Ikea), hang family portraits/ art or even just empty frames. Again, I think your issue is having an asymmetrical space, so you shouldn't aim for just one regular shape, rather for many arranged in an irregular way. Or round (starburst mirror?). If you prefer just one thing, then a giant canvas would be great (you can make it yourself, just get someone to build you a frame and wrap it in some cool wallpaper). Hope this helps, good luck!!

The ability to cut a door to fit depends on the style of door. You couldn't cut a frame and panel door, for example, because you'd lose part of the frame. So that style would have to be custom made. Thanks Daisy, we are trying to keep the costs down, so reusing existing units where possible, but I'm more than happy to spend a bit more money to get a better layout. If you have any ideas for that I'd love to hear it? Even if you think we'd get a much better layout by ripping it all out and starting from scratch then it's worth looking into. Plumbing to the dish washer shouldn't be an issue, because the sink is very close. If there's an issue it'll be with the 500mm drawer unit next to the dishwasher, but that can be moved to the other side of the dishwasher if necessary. Again, any advice you might have for us here would be appreciated. The idea with the corner units is actually really good. The only challenge is the space, again, trying to fit them in and get all the appliances in that we need/want. But we're definitely going to look into it, thanks for the tip! The corner units we currently have are so awkward. Thanks for your help!!! Really appreciate it. Thomas

The original kitchen was quite cheap (can’t remember exactly, but I designed my extension to be 5.8m long with the kitchen in one long line. This mean that that I have 4 x 600mm units either side of a 1m long range. I went for plain cupboards to keep costs down - no fiddly extras! At the time, I couldn’t afford an “in-frame” design. When it came to the make-over, I priced up new replacement doors with companies like Dream Doors (nightmare - after spending an entire morning in their showroom, they refused to come out when I said my budget was under £5k!!!). I also liked Naked Doors and Shaker Doors online. They were pricey though... in the end I thought I’d bite the bullet and buy the doors from someone on Etsy. I think it was going to be about £2k. I then found a carpenter to get a price for fitting the doors. When I explained what I wanted, he said to forget the doors and he would make entire new fronts. Painted and fitted, it came in under £1.5k, which I thought was a bargain!!! Depending on where you are, I can highly recommend him. (I’m in the East Midlands). When I spoke to him, he said he did entire kitchens from start to finish for a very reasonable price. I’m sure with a bit of googling, you could find someone local... where are you based?
