Designing a practical and stylish Notting hill apartment
MKID was appointed to create a practical and stylish home after the children had left to study. The substantial character was maintained with the space being suitably adapted to become a new living space whilst accommodating a flexible approach to bedroom space in the years to come.
Construction work was required and a new staircase built. Bespoke joinery was designed and installed extensively to maximise the benefits from the uneven levels and walls typical of period homes.
The clients were from an engineering and artistic background and were keen include their influence. Mia used the clients’ own personal pieces as inspiration for the colour palette for the living space.
