DreamHouzz was a ground breaking immersive pop-up experience brought to you by Houzz UK. Nine designers were selected to transform an empty warehouse in Bermondsey into eight inspiring roomsets - where everything on display was available to buy in the online shop.

This room was ‘The Perfect Masculine Retreat’ - for a homeowner in his 50s who wanted a contemporary look that was both eclectic and industrial. He doesn’t have the budget for iconic pieces but he loves design and does like to make a statement.

So this masculine but elegant space was deliberately cosy and inviting. Once the core pieces of furniture were chosen and industrial concrete wall paper applied, rugs, cushions and throws were added to provide layers of texture. Cool greys mix with warm, vintage-inspired textiles and earthy natural materials such as wood and leather. Filled with practical storage solutions and industrial touches, this is a relaxed contemporary look that’s low on maintenance but high on affordable design.
