Luxury Design Putney House
The house is situated in the conservation area of Putney Heath. It is a two-storey terraced house with a flat roof. White rendered walls dominate the four sides of the house, as well as the ground and first floor levels, with bands encircling the building above and below. This defines the steel-framed windows and exterior doors.
The project involved the renovation of the existing property to provide the owners with a modern family home, with a redesign of the entrance porch, creating an accessible roof terrace and a reconfiguration of the roof with new skylights. The main family area of the house is located on the ground floor with direct access to the garden. Our proposal was to update the ground floor family area internally to allow for better living space. The service area is consolidated in its original layout on the ground floor with the existing staircase organising access and circulation. On the first floor, the original configuration of the rooms has been modified to suit the client's needs.
In addition, the front and back garden has been renovated by reorganising the soft and hard areas with a larger parking space, a new metal entrance creating a better connection to the house. The surfaces have been designed with natural stone slabs, pebbles and gravel, providing a more pleasant appearance.
