A family looking to create more living space and an extra bedroom wanted to modernise their home with an extension to the rear of the house. Working closely with the client and the local council NVDC proposed a two-storey stepped extension. The form and shape of the extension was driven by the desire to create an open plan, light filled living space whilst forming a strong connection to the extensive garden.
