Cassandrascott24, I feared as much re slippiness. Maybe I'll think again re my idea to tile my front path. I'm pretty accident prone! Also none of the houses in this area seem to ever have had tiled paths, despite their Victorian date. They would have been workers housing. I'm getting a railing, gate and hedge, and those will give the front a lift.

That will be lovely Sam. There are other ways than mosaic tiles, to lay a path that incidentally, would not need to be hosed down every time muddy boots walked up it!
