The Brief
This Worthing client sought a stylish upgrade on their previous kitchen, swapping an old monochrome kitchen for something a little more colourful.
As well as a new theme, it was also up to designer Phil to incorporate a traditional element to match the style of this property, incorporating useful storage options. This client was also looking for a full flooring improvement which would help to integrate a dining and seating area into this vast space.
Design Elements
To suit the space designer Phil has created a great layout which incorporates all the elements of this project brief, with the bulk of amenities centred around a range cooker. Extra storage is provided in tall units that run all the way towards the dining and living area of this property.
The theme is comprised of Virginia shaker furniture from British supplier Mereway in colours sea mist and pebble grey.
Traditional features have been included in this project in the form of a butler style sink and herringbone flooring from Karndean. The flooring has been fitted by our expert team, and runs throughout this whole space to create a luxurious feel.
The chimney breast surrounding the range looks original, but has been built out by our installation team to add a further traditional element. Phil has added further storage either side of the range in the form of discrete cabinetry.
Special Inclusions
A key part of this design was creating a communal feel in the kitchen. To accomplish this, great care has been taken to incorporate the seating and dining area into the design making the vast room feel connected. To add to this element a peninsula island has been included with space for three to sit.
Around the kitchen, solid quartz surfaces have been opted for, with Silestone’s lusso finish nicely complimenting the theme of the space.
Project Highlight
To integrate the required storage, designer Phil has used a number of clever solutions to provide organised and maximised storage space.
An impressive pantry is built into tall units, with corner units and a pull out pantry also in the design. Feature end unit storage provides a nice place to store decorative cook books.
The End Result
The end result is a kitchen and dining space the ticks all boxes. A great design incorporates the traditional features, storage requirements and extra inclusions this client desired to create a wonderful kitchen space.

Kingfisher DesignsAn large elegant kitchen designed in a Humphrey Munsen style. The partition for the old pantry, staircase and cloakroom which had been added into the room were removed and the chimney breast opened up to accommodate the new Rangemaster Classic Deluxe range. A double width island was placed in the middle on contrasting cabinetry. Extra worktop space and was created either side of the fireplace with the cupboards opening up to provide worktop space and storage for appliances.

The Kitchen Island works as a bridge to the dining area and positions the breakfast bar with a view out of the French doors. The Island was designed with the layout of the kitchen in mind, ensuring the space was streamlined and easy to use.
This design incorporates all the modern necessities and works well with the arched windows and stained-glass windows, resulting in a contemporary classic kitchen.

The White Kitchen CompanyA kitchen extension can turn a pokey cooking area into a large, open-plan space the whole family can enjoy. That is exactly what Asmat and Ramesh did with their beautiful Maidenhead home.
The couple decided that Shaker cabinets were the clear choice due to offering a timeless, versatile appearance that suits a contemporary open kitchen. The newly extended open space has a beautiful flow to it. The wall cabinets feature a mixture of base and tall units including both a larder and pantry. These provide ample storage and are a real feature of the kitchen. A double farmhouse sink stands out well against our factory's hand-painted units which have been colour matched to Little Greene's French Grey. This neutral colour offers calmness when used in any space and suits both modern or classic styles.
The kitchen island is another standout piece. Again using Little Greene's palette, it is painted in the Livid shade. A deep, moody yet restful colour, sitting somewhere between blue, green and grey. The island cabinetry contains a mixture of drawers, shelves and our fabulous glass-doored glazed cupboards with shelving.
Finally, we have an eye-catching feature window seat. Also known as banquette seating, this space has been custom-built by our factory. A wooden seat with cabinetry below finished off perfectly with a stand-out wallpaper that really gives the whole open space a little colour.

Kitchens Bespoke LtdAn open plan kitchen, living and dining space for a new large extension. Our clients wanted to utilise the original galley kitchen area, create distinct zones and more sociable space.
We designed an in-frame shaker kitchen for this large contemporary extension in a two-tone colour scheme. Our clients were very keen to incorporate a bold colour but weren’t sure how best to execute it. We recommended a pale, timeless grey for the main run of furniture and then Farrow & Ball’s Vardo on the kitchen island. This is such a fabulous, rich colour and looks so glamorous teamed with the velvet stools and brushed brass handles.

Kingfisher DesignsAn large elegant kitchen designed in a Humphrey Munsen style. The partition for the old pantry, staircase and cloakroom which had been added into the room were removed and the chimney breast opened up. The original MDF stairs retrofitted into the cellar was removed and replaced with a customized spiral staircase, additional ornate spindles were added into the structure with oak newel posts and rail made by laminating oak veneer in situ. The staircase leads down to the utility room in the cellar.
Seven Design ServiceTime for a New Kitchen! A great space but tired old units in need of some TLC. This remodel improved the layout, adding a breakfast bar and fully functioning Utility Room, accessed by a secret door through the kitchen.
Other work included a bespoke Garage storage solution for bikes and camping equipment and a bespoke under stairs storage cupboard.
Timothy James InteriorsKitchen Interior Design Project in Richmond, West London
We were approached by a couple who had seen our work and were keen for us to mastermind their project for them. They had lived in this house in Richmond, West London for a number of years so when the time came to embark upon an interior design project, they wanted to get all their ducks in a row first. We spent many hours together, brainstorming ideas and formulating a tight interior design brief prior to hitting the drawing board.
Reimagining the interior of an old building comes pretty easily when you’re working with a gorgeous property like this. The proportions of the windows and doors were deserving of emphasis. The layouts lent themselves so well to virtually any style of interior design. For this reason we love working on period houses.
It was quickly decided that we would extend the house at the rear to accommodate the new kitchen-diner. The Shaker-style kitchen was made bespoke by a specialist joiner, and hand painted in Farrow & Ball eggshell. We had three brightly coloured glass pendants made bespoke by Curiousa & Curiousa, which provide an elegant wash of light over the island.
The initial brief for this project came through very clearly in our brainstorming sessions. As we expected, we were all very much in harmony when it came to the design style and general aesthetic of the interiors.
In the entrance hall, staircases and landings for example, we wanted to create an immediate ‘wow factor’. To get this effect, we specified our signature ‘in-your-face’ Roger Oates stair runners! A quirky wallpaper by Cole & Son and some statement plants pull together the scheme nicely.

Alexander KitchensContemporary German Kitchen in Barns Green, West Sussex
Explore this contemporary Fjord Blue & Satin Grey German Kitchen, complete with a matching utility and TV area.
The Brief
This client sought to transform their kitchen, utility, and dining area with a theme that could be replicated across the three areas of this room. Bold colours were favoured from initial project conversations, and modern conveniences were to be implemented into the design across all three areas.
The project was to also include a small amount of structural work to create access into the utility area, as well as the installation of bi-fold doors towards the garden end of the room.
Design Elements
To achieve the bold aesthetic the client favoured the design utilises a relatively new Fjord Blue finish from German supplier Nobilia. This matt blue finish is contrasted with a glossy Satin Grey option, in a combination that has been deployed across all three areas of this room.
The main kitchen utilises a similar layout to the previous, but with designer Alistair making the most of the space available and tailoring elements to the client’s requirements.
The silky work surfaces are a Corian finish, an additional modern element to the design. The finish is Grey Onyx, and combines well with bold elements of this design, and the vibrant blue glass splashback colour.
Several clever storage and space saving solutions have been incorporated into this design. One is a full-height pull-out pantry placed next to the client’s own American fridge-freezer, and another is the tambour unit which the client liked as a place to store small appliances and breakfast items.
A number of appliances were required as part of this project with high-specification Neff models chosen. One of these is a Flexinduction hob which is installed beneath a built-in Neff extractor, integrated into wall units. A Neff Slide & Hide single oven and combination oven have also been installed, and another high-tech inclusion is a Quooker boiling water tap fitted above a sizeable double stainless steel sink.
Special Inclusions
To give the room the modern feel this client sought, designer Alistair has implemented a number of lighting options to illuminate and enhance the space. Downlights, handrail LED strip lights and plinth lighting have all been installed across the kitchen and matching utility area.
The utility itself utilises the same theme as the kitchen and is equipped with plenty of useful storage space. Another great addition in the utility is a full-height CDA wine cabinet, which has capacity to store more than one-hundred wine bottles.
The entrance to the utility was rethought as part of the project too. A pocket door was chosen to ensure that the utility did not feel too separated from the kitchen and dining areas, and our installation team installed this as part of the installation.
Above the entrance to the utility downlights have been installed which shine upon glass splashback, an inventive piece of work by one of our installers on-site.
Project Highlight
The final area of this vast space is the TV area, which utilises the same Fjord Blue cabinetry, this time with Havana Oak accents.
This area provides extra storage for the clients and is equipped with a built-in TV, positioned in front of their dining area to be used when dining or entertaining.
The End Result
This project is another that shines a light upon the exceptional results that can be achieved using our complete design and installation service. This design incorporated a full kitchen, utility and TV area design, with structural work, furniture installation, electrical work, plumbing and even a small portion of flooring, coordinated by our in-house team and delivered from a single quotation.
