“As new house owners, we left a condo living and decided to move into a house. We ultimately decided to purchase an older house and customize it to our tastes and needs. I had used Houzz.com to source some architects to help us out. We found Robert and a few others but it was Robert that accompanied me to house inspection for one and then also accompanied me to view the house we ended up purchasing. From start to finish, he was there. We utilized Houzz.com albums to collect photos and ideas to share so he could get a better sense of our needs and wants. He managed pretty much everything from the contractors to the purchasing of items. He also has a great eye for detail so when he conducted the final walk (we were traveling) and approved it, I didn't worry about him missing anything. As new home owners new to renovation, we did go over budget and in the end, we did have to omit some of the items/detailing that we wanted which was frustrating but Robert provided us alternatives so that we could discuss and decide. In the end, with the budget issue and not having the home 100% to what we wanted, we are still very happy with the project. People who have seen the home before are amazed at the results. We are very happy to have found Robert. As non-creative home owners who have never renovated a home, we would have never come up with some of the concepts he produced. He enabled us to customize this house enough that it meets our aesthetic and functional needs. Robert is very diligent and detailed. I think he may have been too detailed for us (ha) but as a result of me giving in to him, we have a stand out master bathroom. I view our home a great learning experience into the area of renovation. I now have Robert to use as a standard.”

“Baggot & Bak, Ltd. remodelled the first floor of our very old house. Sandra Baggot worked well with the structural engineer, contractor and my children. She presented four options so that we could choose the best option to fit our needs. Her attention to my needs as a handicapped senior resulted in a home that is beautiful, comfortable and accessible. “We hired David to design a complete re-build of a small bungalow cottage in Stone Harbor, NJ. Our decision was based on some very impressive homes he designed on the island, as well as excellent references from past clients. David's charge was challenging - design a classic shore cottage with a strong attention to architectural detail and lots of functionality in a very small space (while staying within budget). David more than exceeded expectations. The project was completed in 2012, and the house is fabulous!! It was selected by a local charity for its annual fundraising tour of distinctive homes. To this day we are still receiving compliments from passers-by whenever we sit out on the front porch. David was a pleasure to work with - always good-natured and accommodating - and very knowledgeable in all aspects of the design - including (but not limited to) exterior roofing and siding, interior woodwork, bathrooms, kitchen, and lighting.”

“I contracted Ed for a redesign of the house I purchased at the beginning of 2013. The original property was a narrow 130+ year old 3.5 story house with 5 bedrooms and 1.5 bath with just under 2,000 square feet. Due to the layout and condition of the house, everything down the the studs were to be removed. I approached Ed requesting for a 3 bed 2.5 bath with some preliminary ideas on layouts. I leaned on Ed's experience to guide me through the project as this was my first house and complete renovation. I could not be more satisfied at the level of professionalism that Ed provided. He assisted with on site support with on the fly sketches and hands on work, produced drawings in a timely fashion, and even helped with communication with the township throughout the permitting and construction process. He also made sure to be an active member throughout the entire project as there were many variables that kept showing up during demolition and initial build. He was a perfect buffer to make sure that my ideas were being conveyed to the contractor, as I am very handy myself, I found it hard to get my message across in a way that my contractor could understand. His attention to detail took the house to a whole new level. I have had numerous comments from people that have walked the house throughout construction and they cannot believe the transformation. They are amazed at the little details that make the design stand out. It went from a first house, to a property that I can see myself living in for many years to come. I would recommend Ed to anyone who is looking for a residential to commercial project as his ideas are incredible. I am still painting and decorating but will make sure to post pictures of the final product.”

“We first began working with Elizabeth Springer, owner of Dames Design in approximately September 2012. We sought out her structural engineering skills to reinforce two pillars in our basement that were built to support the extra weight in our new kitchen and mudroom, she also detailed a drawing and instructions for a steel beam to support a two story bump out. After more than proving her capabilities and meticulous eye for detail we asked Elizabeth to design our long awaited three car garage and roof terrace. Elizabeth worked with us every step of the way keeping us informed and tweaking our drawings when necessary. She works extremely well with other building contractors in a construction setting in what is predominately a male dominated occupation. We give Elizabeth a full five stars for her excellent detailed architectural drawings, superior knowledge and consistent communication and would highly recommend her to anyone intending on beginning any project large or small!”
