“A friendly and professional practice - a pleasure to work with. Impressive timber frame design knowledge and excellent communication made this project an absolute joy - we hope to work with you again soon. So successful was this partnership that we've been jointly shortlisted for 'Best Oak Frame' at the Build It Awards 2014 - fingers crossed! Photo Credits: van Ellen + Sheryn”

“We are planning to renovate our 1930s semi to create a light, bright kitchen/diner/living area and decided to use Rachael to help us with the planning of this project. Rachael has been a true professional from our very first meeting and ongoing with our project. Her ideas and input have been really helpful and all work up to the current stage has been done to a high standard. Rachael is very helpful with explaining all the stages and processes to us as we have never had building work done before. We look forward to working with her throughout the rest of the project and to see the end results.”

“Proctor Watts Cole Rutter provided a complete architectural service for our Grade II listed farm house from discussing and producing initial design ideas and dealing with planning and conservation issues to fully project managing the job”

“‘The initial design captured the essence of what we wanted immediately and needed very few refinements. The vision our architect demonstrated in working with a very difficult, steeply sloping garden was remarkable and the end result is elegant and refined, delivering way more than we had hoped. The entire project was expertly handled and a joy to be a part of.’”

“John took our ideas for a new kitchen extension and developed the plans and proposal so that we gained planning permission without any issues. John also attended the parish council planning meeting to ensure there were no issues at this stage. With his help and guidance a specification was developed from which we were able to have a number of contractors bid, going on to select one to complete the build. Although we knew exactly what we wanted out of this project we initially had trouble engaging builders before we started working with John, due to the unusual construction methods being used. With John’s expertise, advice and attention to detail on-board the project was completed and we have been enjoying the kitchen extension for the last six months.”

“JFD designed and developed customised plans for an extension to our existing property when the initial plans we had were not sufficient for our builders to commence construction. Jake is very approachable, friendly and professional and we would highly recommend his services. He helped us out in what was quite a difficult situation at the time for which we were extremely grateful and appreciative of.”

“Mr Robertson was worth every penny! He was instrumental in guiding us through many hoops when it came to renovating our listed cottage. He was able to give us good ideas and took the heat out of all the overwhelming paperwork that was essential for the job. He liaised with Exmoor Park and was able to deal with any hiccups in a calm and professional way. He was always polite and explained things to us in layman terms when necessary. Mr Robertson worked to our finances and was always "on the case" as it were. Without him, the cottage would not look as stunning as it is today.”

“dwell design began working for us on the extension and refurbishment of our new home after the plan drawing company we had initially been recommended totally let us down. By comparison Anthony and the team were thorough, interested, passionate and knowledgeable with much appreciated attention to detail. I felt that Anthony took the time to understand what it was that we were looking for in our home and tailored the plans to suit what we really needed, coming up with a design that worked for us. The final result is all we had hoped for and more and would not have happened without all the hard work from the dwell team. They have all been a pleasure to work with.”

“We attended a New Forest National Park Green Open Day showcasing sustainable buildings across the New Forest. We fell in love with two of the buildings and the architect of both buildings was PAD Studio. We have lived at Daisybank Cottage for 20 years and were passionate about renovating our Gardener’s Cottage which had coexisted with the main house since 1901. PAD helped us to stay true to the original structure, both in shape, form and materials. They sourced marley cladding similar to the original corrugated structure and ipe cladding similar to our forest surroundings. They opened our minds to new ideas and techniques whilst keeping us true to the original Arts & Crafts form of the original building. PAD guided us in the planning process, helped us with major decisions, externally and internally and travelled the journey with us, every step of the way. They have provided us with a gem, a small piece of paradise in the New Forest. Thank you. Cheryl & Ciaran Maher, Brockenhurst, The New Forest”

“I had an idea in my head of the extension I wanted for my house but no idea of how to organise anything to make it happen. Ralph was recommended by a friend and gently led me through the process. Ralph organised the surveyor, made lots of constructive suggestions, produced excellent drawings and very quickly secured planning permission for me. There was little for me to do except decide what design I wanted. Ralph Kent is a brilliant architect but it is all the product ideas he comes up with and his organising skills that get the job done.”
