“I pretty much knew want I wanted to do with my project. I warned Ellen I knew enough about architecture to be dangerous. Ellen recognized my requirements and was instrumental in identifying other considerations needed for the project. Included was a need for a code variance (setback). I was informed by the city, before starting the project, a code allowance(variance) was not required. Ellen’s code research was right. A code allowance was required. With her help, the review board approved the code allowance request unanimously. Our project involves bumping the attached garage eight feet to allow for a utility room between the garage and house. The design includes moving the washer and dryer out of the basement. As simple as the project sounds, there is a lot involved. Ellen listened to my wife’s concerns and ideas on the project. Together we achieved a very efficient design. We are now in the permit and construction phase of the project. I am looking forward to Ellen’s input. Ellen deserves your serious consideration.”

“We hired Leigh at Studio 4C was amazing! She created a second master suite in our house, and was able to create a cost effective space that preserved function, design, and high quality décor. It was really important to us to hire someone who was both an architect and interior designer. She was able to give us many options from tile to cabinet hardware--oftentimes, from the comfort of our own home, by clicking an internet link! I would use Leigh and Studio 4C for any future projects!”

“Building your dream house can be a scary and intimidating experience. We interviewed several architects and were so glad we did. Carl Shipley designed a beautiful home for us. It fit both the property and our lifestyle like a glove. The process was painless and even though Carl was out of state for much of the construction, he kept a very close eye on the project. We had a small drywall cracking issue after the fact and Carl was quick to diagnose and remedy that issue as well. You really can't go wrong with Shipley Design. Carl would be my pick if I set out to do it again.”

“Tiffany jumped in a project I had already started and hit may roadblocks with the City of Boulder, she expeditiously addressed all issues, promptly responded to requests and understood the demands to get the designs to approval, during the challenging mid-year times of 2020 and all the covid-related restrictions. I would happily work with Tiffany and Bella Design Studio again.”

“Shaun did a great job helping us to reimagine our kitchen. The end result was well beyond our expectations. She also showed us how to stage our home for sale, which proved successful. The house was snatched off the market at full asking price in days! I still miss my kitchen, but I might ask her to help us in our new home, too.”
