“Our experience with Go plans has been excellent. They arranged a home visit at very short notice, listened to our suggestions and compiled the initial drawings relatively quickly. They also successfully handled the whole planning permission process for us and provided a very fast and professional response to the requests and changes requested by the planning officer. “We decided to award Home Architecture the design contract for a large rear extension we had planned for our 1930s house. The designed drawing by Mike had some design options that at the time we had not considered. With this open advice and forward thinking vision we approved modification for the final drawing sign off. Its now some eight years since we had the extension done and still very much appreciated the input we had from the architects. The rear extension in brief consisted of a approx 6m x 4m single story extension, with tiled roof , velux windows and Bi-fold doors across the rear to open up onto hard wood decking. I would recommend Home Architecture if you are considering building works small or large.”

“We employed Milton Architects to help us with a major (for us) project in transforming our rather quirky 1911 house. The project took c10 months and we made it more difficult for the architects and contractors by choosing to live in different corners of the house while work carried on around us. We are delighted with the end result. Mike Milton brought many innovative elements to the overall design and equal emphasis was placed on the practical considerations such as construction, plumbing, electrics and sourcing. The project incorporated constructional changes, renovations and improvements, two new extensions and a few demolitions. MA handled the project management very well, first through Mike and then his colleague Ros Leverett. The project - having allowed for the constraints and problems encountered along the way (asbestos, rotten timbers, crumbling foundations ...) was very close to the original budget and timescale, and the interactions with the construction company exemplary. So in conclusion we are very pleased to recommend Milton Architects highly and unreservedly for any project remotely similar to our own.”

We have been thoroughly impressed with Lesley, and also her team who are always fully briefed and able to deal with queries. LA Hally Architect came up with a design which strongly incorporated our key requirements, have responded efficiently to changes that we have made during the work, and have provided practical advice on all aspects of our project. We have been particularly impressed with the innovative ideas in relation to light and space that Lesley has brought to our project, yet at the same time she has kept our 'traditional and elegant' feel in mind. We would definitely recommend LA Hally Architect.”

“Absolute Architecture was a joy to work with. Kate Cooper and her team worked with a tiny, decrepit home, large garden and stables from 1908 and turned the property into a show piece. They were sympathetic to the original design and area while making the home user friendly and comfortable for contemporary residents. They were knowledgeable about the many local laws and guidelines and used the best local craftsmen for the renovation and addition, all in a timely, warm manner. We are so proud of our lovely home; it came out truly beautiful. Thank you Kate!”

“I came across Ark through a recommendation from a friend so I checked them out on here and found some good reports. I made contact with them and set up a meeting to discuss my project. From the moment I met the team I felt comfortable and re-assured that I had made the write choice. We sat down and talked through my ideas for the extension to my house and what I wanted to get out of it, from this meeting various ideas/layouts were sketched up and this provoked further ideas which led to a layout that was far better than I had originally anticipated in my head. Further meetings were held and the layout finalised ready for submitting to Planning. During the planning stage I asked Ark to work up the construction drawings and sections so that we could obtain competitive prices from builders. Ark recommended some builders and arranged quotes, we then sat down and discussed the quotes to ensure that I was happy with the price and intended programme. The works have just commenced on site and I must say the contractor has been great so far. Overall the experience I have had with Ark has been nothing short of exceptional, their attention to detail and ideas they have given me for the internal finishes and décor will result in a new space that is far beyond what I was anticipating when I first had the idea in my head. I would highly recommend Ark to anyone.”
