“Gene was exceptionally professional. We were looking for a creative designer to help us build our home in an unusual residential/commercial setting. Gene's design included a floorplan for 2 storey's of residential space which included a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms and millwork throughout. His attention to detail and finishes is above and beyond. We were keen on avoiding box store finishes and Gene was very willing to help us secure options within our budget. I would do a better job at managing scope of work / cost - approx. 30k for services, including initial design work, engineer and ongoing consultation.”

“We engaged Lindy Consulting to provide some plans to renovate the 3rd floor of our house which was an unused portion of our house which contained two bedrooms and which we were using as additional storage space. Our plan was to move our master bedroom to this space and add a full washroom. We met with Steven and Annette to discuss our ideas and how we envisaged the space and our estimated budget. They came back to us the following week with some preliminary sketches that impressed us. We then gave them the mandate to prepare full drawings and once approved by us, they managed the project from completing the drawings, getting them approved, and seeing the project through to completion. We were quite hands-on in the decision making but they truly took ownership of the project and had our best interests in mind throughout. Although we ended up spending more than we budgeted (which was as a result of our decision to upgrade bathroom appliances, flooring etc.), we are really pleased with the final result.”

The scope of work included architectural designs and basic interior designs. Over the course of the project we made many revisions, many re-submissions for building permits, and required various engineering letters/stamps. Cadaxx was very knowledgeable about building & zoning codes, and we benefitted from the their strong relationship with the city. They worked very quickly, listened well to our feedback. 3D renderings at key points helped us visualize our decisions. Cadaxx worked very well with our consultant, and other suppliers like engineers, HVAC designer, interior designer, and builder.”
