“Alberts House carried out an extensive refurbishment of our newly acquired 5 bed house, upgrading electrics and plumbing, installing new windows, bathrooms and kitchen, building cabinetry and painting and decorating and laying new floors. This was the first major refurbishment project we had done and we were very pleasantly surprised by the experience, largely due to the excellent project management, good and sympathetic eye for design and detail, high standards, professionalism and hard work of Alberts House and their contractors. The project went over budget however the extra costs were well communicated before they were incurred. The project took nearly 5 months which was as expected. We lived in the property with our two young boys throughout which was only made possible because Alberts house did such a good job at managing the project around us. All in all we would thoroughly recommend them for a major refurbishment.”

“I recently moved to a brand new apartment from a traditional Victorian terraced house after 30 years and so I wanted something totally new and different to what I had lived with previously. My taste is not very modern at all and so I was wanting someone who could help me create a really stylish space that would still suit my tastes (quite eclectic I must add!) In addition it is a really small and compact flat and so I needed some clever thinking on how and what to use, where. I decided to try My Bespoke Room as there service felt very affordable (only £75 per room) and they agreed to come and do an on site visit for a very small additional charge. Using them meant that I could still be in control of what was ordered and my budget, as they just gave me all the tools which saved me loads of time. I was so excited to see it transform that I kept updating them and I really felt they were as excited as I was and really into the project too which was really nice! I got on really well with both of them straight away and was really impressed with what they came up with. It is such a slick an easy service and their virtual moodboard is really cool. It covered everything from paint colours, wallpaper to furniture and finishing touches, including coat hooks and an umbrella stand! This was money well spent and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for some help in designing and furnishing their homes. Well done girls!!!”

The aesthetics of her selections retains the character of a home design that you will want. I will highly recommend more so elegance is mixed with decent budget. “Sacha helped us with a big design/renovation project this year, when we extended our house. We met her when we bought a lovely Stag chandelier, and she then helped us on a bigger design project. She worked closely with us to come up with brilliant ideas that took the sort of things we liked and translated them into a unique design that was just to our taste - but we could never have actually made happen ourselves! She also took the stress out of what should have been a nightmare project, as my husband and I both work and we have small children. Would recommend highly for Interior projects, or Chandeliers.”

“We hired Cat just after we had our planning permission approval, and I am so glad we did. She spent so much time and energy in getting an understanding as to how we live and function day to day, our habits, even our diets...which now that we have moved in, has really proven its value. We are thrilled with the design, not just aesthetically, but also how it feels. The lighting, the beautiful flooring, and the gorgeous details like the sunken bar in the media unit, are just a few of my favourite features. She was energetic, positive and professional, and handled our many many emails and phone calls very patiently.”

“I utilised Caroline’s two hour consultation service (£95) as I desperately needed some advice and ideas for my neglected 1930s hallway. As I don’t live locally, I gave Caroline some ideas and photos via text message about what I liked and didn’t like, my preferred colour palate, and what my priorities were. After some questions from Caroline and some very useful exercises looking at existing spaces and colours, and how we used the hall, she offered some simple solutions which were easily implemented. Simple things like changing the positioning of the existing lighting made a dramatic difference. Caroline then compiled a mood board for me on Pinterest with ideas for paint colours, storage solutions and suggestions for light fittings. She also made recommendations on how I could achieve a modern and coordinated hall that tied in with the existing 1930s features, yet wasn’t overly ‘matchy’. This was complemented with detailed information about sourcing items and recommending paint finishes. Caroline very cleverly sketched her ideas onto my original photo to give me an idea of what my hall could look like. This was really invaluable in helping me ‘see’ my new hall before I started work. I felt that Caroline very quickly ‘got’ what I was after. She was really friendly & approachable, responsive and offered really helpful, practical and straightforward suggestions. She didn’t impose her own tastes and encouraged me to develop my own. Initially I felt that I didn’t really know what I wanted but after conversations with Caroline, I began to gain confidence. I cannot recommend Caroline’s service highly enough. She was great fun to work with and the entire process was really enjoyable.”

“I had the pleasure of hiring Misha Andersen for multiple projects, those being both at work and at home. Each assignment was completed on time, and our expectations were absolutely exceeded in quality and fastidiousness, with a friendly and hardworking crew and masses of creative and effective ideas. All these projects had a minuscule impact on our budget. We ultimately recommend Misha Andersen over any and all other designers we have ever tried.”

“Emilie was brilliant. She did a complete renovation of my Victorian terrace, upstairs and down, including kitchen extension and reviving some original features that had been stripped away. She took my (attempts at explaining) my style and turned it into an actual vision. She gave me solutions to using the space which I had been defeated by and saved me a lot of money on bad furniture decisions. The contractors Emilie brought in were great too. A friendly, hard working team I came to know and like well. Before she got to work, I basically regretted buying my house. The house had so many issues and we didn't have a lot of room in the budget, but she delivered a home I never want to leave. She is very friendly and professional, never lets you feel like you're alone. Highly recommend.”
