“We used the Westbourne Branch to design and fit our new kitchen. The experience was brilliant from start to finish. Our kitchen designer (Sean Ogilvie) was incredibly helpful in working up the original designs and working through a range of changes with us. He had great insight into every detail, was hugely attentive throughout the whole process and made sure all snagging issues (which were very minor) were fully resolved. Their whole team is excellent from the designer, the delivery team, the fitters and the painter. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a bespoke kitchen. Needless to say, we are absolutely delighted with our new kitchen.”

“From our first meeting Sai understood my design brief and came up with ideas straight away. She knew I wanted to stretch my budget and didn’t hesitate to recommend high street products to sit alongside my bespoke pieces to get my look right. We kept in touch with regular meetings for updates. I’d highly recommend Sai whatever budget you have and any size of project.”

“Last year I had some time in-between 2 jobs and decided to build something that I always dreamed of - a garden studio. This was quite a challenge but I really enjoyed it. Where I needed help the most was in decorating the finish product. I'm good with a drill, but when it comes to choosing colours, I'm at lost. And Jo came to the rescue! The brief was simple. I wanted a modern urban man cave with plywood and all that cool Shoreditch style. Jo first selected the main colour which is a deep blue, and some amazing William Morris wallpaper. I was a bit sceptical about the latter but the end result is fabulous. She organised some shelvings and storage with oiled OSB doors, suggested leaving the raw plywood flooring and helped me selecting a nice Scandinavian desk. The end result is exactly ... me! Thanks a million Jo for this outstanding help!”

“I hired Claudia on the recommendation of a friend and she has been incredibly helpful. Initially Claudia came for a ‘home styling’ consultation and she proposed a list of improvements to my main reception rooms and entrance hall. She sent me a clear and well structured brief and fee proposal. The main elements of the ‘make over’ recommendations were: application of a textured wallpaper matching the colour scheme, re-upholstery of my dining chairs, selection of a new coffee table and matching set of ART DECO armchairs, a new console table, a bespoke large overmantle antiqued mirror for the entrance hall and a bespoke hand made ceiling light installation and a new rug in the entrance hall. Claudia’s choices and suggestions were well considered and blended very carefully with our existing style and decoration. The liaison with the makers of the bespoke pieces was time consuming but Claudia managed to get sorted in time for the deadline we had set. I am very happy with the result and would highly recommend her for help with pulling together interiors schemes and sourcing unique pieces.”

“We are now nearing completion of our project and B&M have been just exceptional. They are always professional but also very personable and it has been an absolute pleasure to work with them. Olga is the brain behind the design and Anatoly makes it all happen. Olga has the most amazing taste. She not only helped us create a stunning flat but also managed to increase our storage space by 40%! She always brought brilliant ideas to the table and was very patience with us all throughout the creative process. We trusted her 100% and were incredibly impressed with the quality and uniqueness of the pieces that she suggested for us, some even being bespoke. Our hat goes off to Anatoly. He is very thorough and has made this a stress-free experience for us, which is quite an achievement! He dealt with all the suppliers and overcame all logistics and last-minute challenges. He is impossibly resilient and thanks to his hard work and perseverance we have just the home that we wanted. All in all, we could not be happier with the end result. We can highly recommend Black & Milk.”
Amberth

“I hired Inge and Piotr from Amberth for a second project (after using them to re-model my bathroom in my former flat in 2012). The new project involved replacing two dated bathroom suites in a Georgian terraced house with new, space-efficient layouts using modern fixtures and finishes to create new bathrooms that wouldn't look out of place in a boutique hotel. The results were superb. The main family bathroom has been cleverly re-designed to incorporate a deep, oversized bath tub yet still allows for a large free standing rainfall shower in a "wet zone". The second bathroom now includes a modern, oversize shower/steam room space, with benches and a steam function. Built-in cupboards, lots of mirrors, underfloor heating and bespoke LED lighting finish the look and feel. I would highly recommend Amberth; the quality of the design and fit is fantastic and Inge, Piotr and the rest of the team were a pleasure to deal with. A special mention for the tiler - the attention to detail in fitting the tiles (including on difficult corners) was superb!”

“I was so pleased with the work Emilie did for me. I have an open plan kitchen/living room which is an awkward space and she had to work with the existing aesthetics of the living room space and incorporate a kitchen design. I felt like Emilie really understood my taste, especially with colour and how colour works with period styles. She also really listened to the way I used the space and although the kitchen is fully functional, most of the utilitarian (ugly) stuff is hidden away so it's not visible when you're relaxing in the living room. Like everyone who lives in a small space, I was particularly pleased that she found lots of clever ways for hidden storage. It was super helpful to have a designer / project manager rolled into one, for sourcing fixtures, fittings and specialist builders and also because I was too busy at work to look over the day to day stuff. Emilie would just send photos on her phone so I could quickly and easily make decisions and minimise delays in the process. Having your kitchen done can be stressful at times so it was great to have just one single point of contact throughout, especially someone with Emilie's experience and understanding. I'm so happy with the finished result, and I have come to enjoy it even more over time as a bespoke kitchen designed to fit my living requirements rather than a standard 'showroom' kitchen.”

“We contacted The Wood Works whilst building a new property and wanted them to provide us with truly bespoke, fitted furniture for the entire house. We worked closely with them to create our ideal space and the quality of the finished product is incredible. They took account of all of our requirements including a one off wine storage unit. Whenever we had any questions they were always on hand to discuss. Thank you!”

“Uncommon Project delivered us with an award winning kitchen at our Jackson Road project that exceed our clients expectation and if we are honest, our expectation too. Alan and James are passionate about detail and work out exactly how everything will be constructed right at the beginning of the process. Their joinery is truly bespoke, made to measure, no fillers, additional end panels, awkward gaps. Joinery at this level of quality is prohibitively expensive in most cases, but Uncommon Projects offer amazing value, with exceptional service.”
Mel Massey Studio

Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars29 January 2019
“I've now worked with Mel on a couple of projects. Mel needed two bespoke artworks to be created as a central feature within her room designs and I was delighted to help. From the off, Mel was very clear with the brief, the budget and the colour palette which made my life easier - she was very fashion-forward in her use of interesting colour palettes and materials. The whole project right through from briefing stage to final hanging was seamless, well communicated and fun. Mel and I will definitely work together again.”
