Need help with colour scheme for living room

I have a big room with lots of light and natural wooden floors. I'm redecorating the walls and I like white or off white. I've got a red/burgandy sofa. I'd like a small feature wall but am not sure what colour to have. I like a restful, but cosy feel. Any ideas for colours of walls that would be OK with a red sofa?

A nice charcoal grey, with your room being so light it can take it and it will make the timber look amazing.

What a great room! See pics attached for suggested colours.You could also just paint it all in the off white your thinking of.

Hi Shino, My decor is also white with dark walnut floors and I'm teaming it with various tones of grey with mustard. Many colours would work with your colour scheme though but it depends whether or not you want something subtle or striking. Hi, the space looks fantastic with those wooden stairs and rustic beams. I agree with the comment above about the sofa- would look and feel more comfy if you went for fully upholstered one. I think you could play with whites, greys, black and wood colours and chose one more to add: yellow, blue or even red/pink to fit your chair in. I wouldn't worry about matching up the tiles if you're not keen on having red. I think the scheme will work as long as you stick to neutral, old-school colours, muted greens, blues etc. Just don't go for pastels - that would definitely not work.
