back door needs shelter
Hi Houzz people. Sorry about this very poor quality photo of the back kitchen door of my small suburban house. The bespoke gate/railings are to contain my lovely dog, essential! In winter the back kitchen door is lashed with rain from the North East, not great for the solid white oak flooring within. I really can't afford to build a conservatory (which anyway would eat into my small patio garden) but I really do love the 'mud rooms' that they have in US... Mud/utility room where dirty wet things can dry out for next time? Don't know if a door canopy would work? Don't know if a pergola with polycarbonate roof would work? Has anyone had this problem and how did you resolve it please?
