Alno kitchen colour dilemma

I'm not very good at colour co-ordinating and struggling with what colour worktop to purchase.
Plan to have the island in Alno Dur in lava grey and other base cabinets in Alno Matt lacquer in Cashmere (photo below of cabinet colours)
Open to suggestions to go with wood effect floor in 2nd photo below but must be Alno Matt and Dur colours. Any thoughts welcome ?

We're looking at using both those cabinet colours together, what did you decide on the worktop. Would love to see a picture of your finished kitchen!!

I don't find railings cold at all but the floor tile I've got has a warm undertone to it. I wouldn't pick a grey floor tile as this would make it cold. Wooden flooring would look amazing if you like wooden floors in a kitchen. Re wood accents my kitchen has an American walnut table at the end and drawers/inside cupboards are walnut/walnut veneer. Walnut is a lovely warm wood, I think it looks more sophisticated than oak with greys and blues. Re glass splashback , I agree that it would not look right. I remember Minnie suggested some silver leaf tiles to someone previously which would look great. Hopefully Minnie will reply re the accessories, accessorising is not my forte!

The room looks very modern and spacious and having 2 colours in a kitchen is very popular. With regards to wall units (see image below where shelves have been used) & fridge/freezers, it really is down to personal preference but American fridge/freezers are very bulky, but they do give a lot of fridge space, although the freezers do tend to be a little small. Shelving can look nice and it could keep costs down. Decisions, decisions :-) Here are some pics of shaker kitchens that our customers have sent us with 2 different colours that they have used in their kitchens. I agree with forza, your kitchen is great as is but yes if you feel like having a change, why not? I know there is a trend for using dark colours but I’m a little concerned with you already having large areas of (near) black, like your floors and tiles above the range, that it might get too dark. Are you considering changing the flooring? If not you could perhaps think about painting your units in a lime white. Or would that not give you enough of a change from how it is now?

Before you get the paint brush out - add some top lights to the wall cabinets - allowing warm light to bounce up to the ceiling and back down again . You might find that lifts the feel of the place without all the effort of re painting doors .
