ok so I'm still al little confused but almost decided (mainly cos i can't take this strange indecision anymore!) So 3 tall integrated of/larger fridge & pull out larder units on back wall (in photo) and l shape base units only in Slipper Satin. Worktop in snowy ibiza as it has a taupe tinge to it so works well with Slipper Satin but lighten the room too and wimborne white (or possibly Valspar Fluffy Robe) for the walls and open shelves. I still want my champagne bronze tap and am hoping it will go but it's the only thing I'm not certain on now and the only thing i'm dead set on having! Off to look at Kahrs flooring samples today.

Hi. Do you have any form of splashblack? A pic would also be good even if it's not finished. Could you have reclaimed brick slips/tiles on a wall which would instantly add warmth? I'd go for reclaimed or weathered oak bar stools. There are also lots of lovely chopping boards around in wood and marble. Texture is also massive ATM so you can find lots of textured accessories. A herb pot always looks good and even using dried pasta or fruit/ veg on display will add warmth. Perhaps bring in some warm metallics for accessories. Sainsbury's do a kettle and toaster with some copper in which might be worth looking at. Is there space to display any cookbooks? Perhaps some faux stems on the breakfast bar? Eucalyptus or pussy willow are good for a neutral look

Lovely kitchen! I think that the wooden floor you have chosen is a good choice. It will bring warmth to the scheme. I think an off white would be a good choice, something like Dulux Timeless or any of the off whites from F&B (see below). If you want more colour you could always paint the dining end a darker shade? I must say I do like T Gray’s Idea of matching your units then finding colours that go well!

Yes, if you just wish to freshen up your windows and they are in good order, painting them makes good use of what you have. If the supplier is reputable with a good guarantee on the product you will be covered against warping and big draughts. I believe that slight ventilation is usually required to avoid condensation. Our timber windows are around 140 years old and still going strong with no warping. I do urge people to consider the health benefits for the family - clean air in your home. In the long run, with timber windows last at least 6 times the age the value for money of timber which outweighs the cost of painting within one lifetime alone. Also timber will not be adding to landfill or use as much energy to create. Finally the character and quality of finish is much different. Here is a comparison for you.
