Inside bedroom patio doors.

We have been advised that an outside glass panel would obstruct our view as it would have to be quite high to comply with regulations. An inside one would work and be much lower. Are there any examples of how to make it attractive or unobtrusive?

Have you tried space slide or Jali as they list prices but I wouldn't say particularly cheap. It may be cheaper to get the plasterer back and go freestanding? You could pick up say a french armoire from ebay for a great price and you know it's good quality. Do you just need doors or sides too? The other option, if doors, is maybe to buy some french louvre doors, shutters or a room divider from ebay and have the carpenter make something up. I want to do similar for window shutters. I like these from the french bedroom company for £362 (w180'h208) but they're not tall enough for my windows unfortunately

Hello I am currently working on a similar project, here are few ideas: By adding paneling and mirrors with side tables and lamps, you will add height to your bedroom. I will be adding the sliding mirror doors on each side of the bed for my client, your door frames are currently very distinctive as the wallpaper is rather dark, it will be less visible with lighter colour on the wall, but I do agree taking of the frame altogether would solve the issue. Adding bench at the end of the bed gives a lovely finish, as seen in the picture. Hope this helps

Hi Rinq, thank you so much for taking the time to draw up some possible floor plans for us - this has been incrediby helpful. I love your proposed layout for the kitchen. My only concern with your design is that the wall with the kitchen- diner entrance is load bearing and would therefore require structural work to move. Presumably this would not be an issue, just something I will need to discuss with a builder for an estimated cost. Do you think there would be enough room in the kitchen to add a pennisula on the external wall of your design, turning your design into a G shape kitchen? This is something we are considering but it is hard to tell whether the area would feel cramped. I have attached a screenshot of another kitchen design that my partner likes which utilises an island although I do not think our kitchen diner has enough space for this. Again, thank you for considering and proposing a floor plan for the 1st floor. Your approach to moving the master suite to the left of the property makes complete sense and appears a better utilisation of space, although walking this through in the house we have realised the views are much better on the right hand side of the property from the existing master bedroom and feel it would be best to keep this as the master. Do you have any recommendations on how best to use the extension for an en-suite & walk in wardrobe i.e. layout of bathroom items, which way round to have the two rooms, and also considering the window positioning & soil pipe that will need to be inserted to remove waste at the front of the property. Appreciate this is a lot of considerations I am seeking help for so any feedback / comments would be great. Thank you in advance.

Hi, It is a tricky one :( Do you want curtains? If so, a small track rail (like what is there at the moment) it probably best as it is slim and allow curtains to be out of the way of the door hinges when open. Otherwise, for a more minimalist look, you could get « clip on » blinds.
