Hi, Donna. The fan was made by Casa Blanca, but it was several years ago. That model has probably been replaced by now!

I HAVE A LOVELY CEILING FAN LIGHT IN MY BEDROOM THAT PACKED UP ON ME JUST BEFORE THE SUMMER. GREAT TIMING! ANYWAY, IT LOOKS LIKE IT'S MARBLE, WELL AT LEAST THE BLADES DO. UNFORTUNATELY I'M REGISTERD DISABLED AND BED RIDDEN DUE TO POOR HEALTH SO I SERIOUSELY COULD DO WITH IT AS I SUFFER FROM SERIOUS HOT & COLD SWEATS. THIS IS A UNIQUE CEILING FAN THAT I'VE GROWN VERY ATTACHED TO BUT I JUST WOULDN'T KNOW WHERE TO START TO FIND A CHEAP REPLACEMENT PART FOR. I think that an extractor helps complete the look even if you don't need one. If you have a chimney extractor you will find that the ceiling fixings are designed for a flat ceiling thereby necessitating a bulkhead. Alternatively you could put in a bigger bulkhead with a flush extractor built into the boxing. My preferred option would be to have a statement recirculating extractor with an extra extractor somewhere discrete above the cabinets on an outside wall to vent if cooking something very fragrant.

i think your architect should of been aware of this, the information i have regarding part F of the building regs is Part F says that where a kitchen previously had only a recirculating fan this can be retained/replaced if it is made no worse. However, I would always recommend fitting an extractor to deal with condensation. • Kitchen: 30l/s if over the hob and 60l/s if placed elsewhere so you can get away with a recirculating fan over the hob, it doesn't need to be 900 wide as its in a canopy but you'll have to duct this out of the chimney breast either at the front or side as there will be moisture in it. Then fit a 60l/sec fan on an outside wall, up to you if you use it.
