Thanks for the feedback! We have a massive dog, and are a bit wary of creating a niche space that could affect resale value, for example to non dog owners. But they are really cute! Good point that either way there is definitely room for a cupboard there too. Bins would go under the counter. Does anyone think integrated bins are way better? Was planning on keeping the freestanding? I've had a lot of feedback from others about having the breakfast bar near the cooker? What do you guys think about this in particular? I hope the 2 tier could prevent major splashes.

I think you're rather stuck on where to put a fridge freezer now the kitchen is done because it would need to go on the end of the run because of the height. I guess you could put it in the dining area along with a couple of larder units to make it one long continuous run if you're opting for a smaller table although I do like how it currently is. Regarding corners I would always plan a 900 L shaped base in each corner because you can then open each door offering you full and easy access to the whole area. Much cheaper than installing chromeworks in a cupboard for a decent brand.

I've got exactly a 17cm gap between my chairs and kitchen table which I can just about cross my legs at so the gap is fine is to me. Sometimes though visually a stool can look too high. I love LTS's first stool (it's looking good with the bar fitted!) but it looks a tad too high for me personally so it might be good to see a pic of your bar. i may be wrong but think it's going to be hard to find a fixed seat of 70cm. Counter stools versus bar stools come within whatever height ranges and I think 70 probably sits in the middle of those ranges. I think that you need to see how much space it takes up, depending on where you place it on the wall. If you have it central on the wall, you'll have a strange gap between the end of the units and the bar? And it won't really give you place to add a 3rd stool on the kitchen cabinets side without blocking the cabinet door, will it?
