Comments (9)I think a more modern style of country lamp would look really wonderful here over a seating area or coffee table. Something like this might suit. I wouldn't go with something too 'heavy' or 'antique' looking: the fireplace is a lovely feature unto itself. There are loads of variations of this kind of lamp if this isn't your style. It does matter of course what the lighting in the kitchen looks like as they should compliment each other rather than fight against each other in an open space, but don't need to 'match'. Comments (7)I agree with OWL the wall light is unnecessary- in its place put an extra downward spotlight. Since you are adding lights I would add some additional lights at the side.
