Comments (9)I love this colour but think that you won't notice the dark kitchen cabinets. To make your existing furniture stand out I think you need contrast. I think the earlier suggestion of orange is fun but to include the Brinjal I would paint the walls green and then add pops of the brinjal. Perhaps if you get some light picture frame add a border of brinjal to give them more presence. Alternatively hang inexpensive canvasses - I would choose three long thin ones and paint one and either wall paper in a similar colour or staple on fabric to add pattern....See MoreHelp with choosing colour for kitchen tiles and wall

Comments (8)(A) painting an alcove a particular colour that pleases you. (B) Having the Island section a different colour. (C) A decorative blind adds a spark. Comments (2)I would stick to neutral colours as your kitchen sounds quite contemporary and anything to flashy may upset the balance. Black glass looks very elegant but a white or transparent splash back will help to open the room up. Grey is a good middle ground but too much grey can look rather drab. I would say that the deciding factor should be the size of the kitchen as black may close the room in. But it is wise in my opinion to go for the same finish as you have for the work tops. I have enclosed a CAD design of a kitchen with cashmere cupboards and a black glass splash back for inspiration. Would love to see some pictures of your kitchen!...See MoreMarylee H
