Storage heater conversion

Hi all,
I am looking at new properties (with sincere apologies to those who have seen previous posts and wonder when I'll ever get my act together and actually find one...) and I would be grateful for any thoughts on replacing electric storage heaters with gas radiators (or other heating systems). A house we have seen and like has no central heating but instead runs on storage heaters and with an economy 7 boiler. I'd like to upgrade that system to gas or at least something more effective and efficient. The house is connected to gas (the kitchen hob is gas) which I assume helps?!
Although I can't be so naive as to aim to direct feedback in a positive direction, I would love some positive experience of making this change if anyone felt comfortable to share any tips or recommendations, so that I can consider available options in a positive mindset. So far, I'm pretty good at conjuring up negatives but won't download my emotions here!

Maybe a clever idea would be a small table covered between the legs on the front to hide the bidet with ornamental candles on unless you want to use them of course, or a storage unit suitable with the back removed to slide over the bidet but has a useful purpose!

It would be better if you could be really specific...............so adding a little rough drawn plan and dimensions would help. There are so many products for storage it really depends on height, width and depth. We are renovating a 1970’s property which currently has old fashioned storage heaters . We will be using the property as a holiday home and wish to operate the heating remotely. There is no gas in the village so only option is electric . Underfloor heating is not an option as budget will not stretch to that. Any ideas for slick modern electric heating solution which is not outrageously expensive an on a budget !
