Loft bedroom and en suite ideas

Hi, im currently having a loft conversion done and after some inspiration on how to paint the bedroom and small en suite.

For the bedroom i like f&b skimming stone, i would ideally like a colour for the woodwork rather than going for white?

Also for the en suite we have navy tiles for inside the shower only a crittal shower screen and brass shower and taps but im stuck for what colour to paint the walls? my husband likes the idea of very dark all over but im not 100% sure on this?

Any help would be great! I’ve uploaded some pictures to help

I think the FRENCH GRAY 18 will work very well for the En Suite. Fits well with the bluish tile and metal faucet.

Accordingly, for the bedroom you could take a shade from the same column such as CROMARTY 285 or BLUE GRAY 91 if you want something darker.

I’m not sure exactly what woodwork there is but I’d keep it the same colour, will make the room feel taller and larger (paint tends to come out lighter on wood anyway so there will be a little variance. i have SS on skirting and it’s really quite light). Use colour for accessories

i’d look at a beigey pink for the ensuite

Hello Leesh, It sounds like you rather like the idea of an en-suite and so I would perhaps suggest you go with it, rather than do one thing and then re-do it later. You mention the house has one single loo.. So would this mean presumably that you would also then situate a loo downstairs? If so perhaps you might consider turning the loo into a small wet room style shower room.. A wall hung loo and small sink would give you enough room for a small shower room fully tanked of course as they are lovely. If there is a bathroom with bath for example elsewhere on the upper levels then it could be one way of dealing with this smaller space.. Alternatively you may prefer to have a walk in closet.. Mind you.. If the bedroom is large enough you may be able to incorporate a walk in closet in the room itself.. I'm elaborating on your initial dilemma, but it may help you to decide just what you need and where exactly.. : ))

I think it's a good idea to keep a similar atmosphere in both rooms, so there shouldn't be a problem with having the same fitting in both rooms. Maybe go for a larger light of the same range in bedroom and then a smaller version for en suite, and finish the look with matching wall lights. In case you need some bathroom zoning advice this might help. Thank you. Both very good options, I’ll look into them. For the en suite I did like the look of pink ground but wasn’t sure if there would be too many colours going on?

Your tiles are so lovely!

For the woodwork in the bedroom you could look at Little Greene paint as they do some amazing colour scales. Colour scales are where a paint company use the same colour a few times and increase or decrease the amount of pigment within it. For example, they have french grey in four different strengths. It can be nice to go a shade lighter on the woodwork to make it stand out but also complement the rest of the room.
