A Blue Family Kitchen in Hampstead
This project involved restyling the entire kitchen, dining and play area. I presented the clients with 3D models for the layout and various mood boards for colour schemes and different furniture styles. The entire kitchen was repainted, I designed bespoke new curtains and blinds in fabrics to match with the new sofa, the antique armchairs which I sourced and the new bespoke custom designed ottoman coffee table. I used iconic designer classics such as the Saarinen tulip table, the Artemide Tolomeo and the Eames chairs mixed with the traditional styles of the armchairs and the French bibliotheke, this breaks up the modern monochrome white of the kitchen. Introducing a mix of styles and shapes into this modern plain white kitchen together with an elegant palette of deep blues, black and grey and using marble, metal, bleached wood and painted wood adds depth and warmth to the space. The central pillar is painted with chalk paint for the kids to have fun with. We also installed a new sliding terrace door and renovated all the original windows during the paintworks. I also sourced artwork and new rugs which we had custom made in sizes to fit the spaces.
