A contemporary take on a classic kitchen

A contemporary take on a classic kitchen. We fitted a timber in-frame kitchen from Kitchen-Makers for this family who wanted something classic to stand the test of time but with all the modern conveniences. The homeowner had a clear idea of what they wanted to achieve; a welcoming practical kitchen to withstand, copious entertaining, family get togethers and quick stop meals between meetings when working from home.

This classic kitchen has a large family American style fridge freezer as well as eye level ovens, a modern extractor and recess for TV.

As well as bar stools at the island we created a comfy seating nook with dining.

Bifold doors are so practical to create easy to access storage with a practical work surface for functionality.

This bifold unit makes the perfect home bar, the doors peel when the bar is open.

A second bifold unit hides away all those worktop appliances such as air fryer, toaster, coffee machine, microwave and breadmaker but also keeps them accessible and easy to use. The unit also has well placed LED lights which open with a sensor.

As well as the sociable island the home owner also has an informal dining area with comfortable seating.

The low seating around the dining area provides additional storage and the TV space was created with a recess into the wall. We created the table using the same timber as the island. Decorative plasterwork adds warmth and texture.
