The brief:
If the wall to the existing kitchen is removed to make an open plan living space, design a kitchen that makes use of the space that is practical and easy to clean.

The solutions:
This irregular shaped room uses it's difficulties to it's advantage. Shallow depth cabinets and worktop (the blue wall) make the kitchen feel wide and practical in us but retain useful storage and counter top space. Short, high wall cabinets add storage without getting in the way. The oven and integrated fridge sit back into a deeper area just before the room opens into a living room & dining area.
A peninsular serves multiple functions; a place to put hot dishes from the oven, storage of crockery close to the dining table, a place to conceal a wine fridge from view to name a few.

The colours:
Flat matt finish Dove Grey cabinetry with stainless steel effect plinths.
Quartz worktops in the style of Carrara marble.
The durable floor tiles (that look like timber) were sourced by the customer, from their home region in Italy.
