The client's brief was to create a bright, modern kitchen but still in keeping with the character of the barn. The client wanted to retain the existing floor tiles so the design needed to take this into consideration. A pantry unit in the dresser area was essential as was some table height casual seating. We used a painted timber shaker style unit in 2 shades of pale grey with Thunder White granite worktops and the finished kitchen is light and fresh with a contemporary feel.
