To be fair, well over a century ago, William Morris (1834-1896) said 'Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful', so he was on to it back then and I don't think Mari Kondo adds anything to that maxim! Every little counts in our own domain, of course, but for me, robust global public health and environmental policy is the context within which to try to future-proof dwellings, workplaces, all forms of transport and public spaces against potential and known health threats.

We were just getting ready to downsize; now we are thinking about upsizing. That beautiful high rise with all of the amenities is a lot less appealing when the amenities are all closed.

A gazebo (or similar) to shelter outdoor visitors, enabling social distancing. Much more emphasis on gardens and outdoor space.
