Kitchen and Bath RenovationsThis laundry space was designed with storage, efficiency and highly functional to accommodate this large family. A touch of farmhouse charm adorns the space with an apron front sink and an old world faucet. Complete with wood looking porcelain tile, white shaker cabinets and a beautiful white marble counter. Hidden out of sight are 2 large roll out hampers, roll out trash, an ironing board tucked into a drawer and a trash receptacle roll out. Above the built in washer dryer units we have an area to hang items as we continue to do laundry and a pull out drying rack. No detail was missed in this dream laundry space.

Jamie House DesignIn planning the design we used many existing home features in different ways throughout the home. Shiplap, while currently trendy, was a part of the original home so we saved portions of it to reuse in the new section to marry the old and new. We also reused several phone nooks in various areas, such as near the master bathtub. One of the priorities in planning the design was also to provide family friendly spaces for the young growing family. While neutrals were used throughout we used texture and blues to create flow from the front of the home all the way to the back.

Framed beaded board panel cabinet doors and drawers add charm to this busy yet elegant space.
Nickel finish vertical pulls through out give an added accent to the painted surface, while coat hooks disappear until they are needed.
Carrara marble counter top with subway tile back splash adorn the Laundry area.
Flagstone floors lead one out to the French style side door.
The half round transom's beauty is further accentuated by double cylinder hanging pendant light fixture.

Everything has a place in this warm and inviting laundry room. White Shaker style cabinets to the ceiling hide home staples, and a beautiful Cararra marble is a perfect pair with the pattern tile. The laundry area boasts pull out drying rack drawers, a hanging bar, and a separate laundry sink utilizing under stair space.
Courtney Thomas DesignWe planned a thoughtful redesign of this beautiful home while retaining many of the existing features. We wanted this house to feel the immediacy of its environment. So we carried the exterior front entry style into the interiors, too, as a way to bring the beautiful outdoors in. In addition, we added patios to all the bedrooms to make them feel much bigger. Luckily for us, our temperate California climate makes it possible for the patios to be used consistently throughout the year.
The original kitchen design did not have exposed beams, but we decided to replicate the motif of the 30" living room beams in the kitchen as well, making it one of our favorite details of the house. To make the kitchen more functional, we added a second island allowing us to separate kitchen tasks. The sink island works as a food prep area, and the bar island is for mail, crafts, and quick snacks.
We designed the primary bedroom as a relaxation sanctuary – something we highly recommend to all parents. It features some of our favorite things: a cognac leather reading chair next to a fireplace, Scottish plaid fabrics, a vegetable dye rug, art from our favorite cities, and goofy portraits of the kids.
