“When looking for an architect MDA Architectural Services Ltd came recommended by a friend. From the beginning they were completely professional and all the staff who I had contact with couldn't be more helpful. From the original drawings to the final plans the team were happy to make any changes I requested. When looking for a builder to complete my extension, everyone commented on the quality of the drawings and the detail within. “We undertook a massive extension and renovation project of a 1911 arts and crafts house. We were keen to incorporate eco-design elements and we were referred to Chris Rogers and GTA by our environmental consultant. From our first meeting to completion of the project Chris went above and beyond. Always coming up with good ideas that fitted our specifications. Always quick to suggest sensible solutions to problems as they arose. Always available and an invaluable point of contact between us and the contractors on site. He took us through design and planning permission, tendering, refining the scope of the works and finalising the contract with the main contractor, the build itself, snagging...everything! Our build was between July 2016 and April 2017 and I don't think we would have managed it without Chris on the team. We have no hesitation at all in recommending Chris for projects big and small (and in fact have already recommended him to friends embarking on their own projects).”

“Arranged for CAS to produce plans & submit planning application for an extension to our house prior to marketing the property for sale. We received timely and appropriate advice on the planning process and the layout & plans of prosposed extension. Very pleased with the design and the step by step pricing and invoicing for the work. Realistic guidelines given about the expectations of local planners. Kept up to date with other professionals involved in the planning application and how the application was progressing. Would recommend to other home owners requiring a similar service”

“Ian has been working on my behalf for over 12 months designing and managing the construction of my personal residence. In addition to the house the works included underpinning, retaining walls, and landscaping. He is a creative Architect and very pragmatic; he initially provided me with a number of design options that suited my budget. He assisted me from the beginning of his appointment with advice on contractual matters and dealings with the Planning and Control officers. Ian clearly has had extensive experience as a professional; his technical knowledge is very sound, he communicates well and and has an excellent eye for detail when supervising the builders. His speciality in "Green Construction" gave me a series of options on sustainable construction products and techniques and Ian provided me with valuable references and links to further information. “Steve and Dom Shiels proved to be an excellent choice. We found them on the internet. Our first meeting showed that they listened to what we wanted then added all sorts of interesting ideas and details for us to think about. They then designed a ground floor extension that had a footprint half the size of our original house. We disscused various options and then settled on a design. They dealt with planning permission with no problems. We were very fortunate that that they tendered to build it too. This was a complete joy. They were at our house everyday for several months and we never felt irritated. The precision and care they took at each stage was incredible. They always left the site clean and tidy. The final building is beautiful, with lots of details that make us think wow. We have lived in this hous for 38 years and have always loved it. We love it even more now. Thank you Steve and Dom.”

“I was directed to Mark by Amvic Build because I wanted to build using insulated concrete formwork. He understood exactly what I was looking for and I now have a property that has exceeded all my expectations. The planning application procedure went very smoothly because of the detail contained in the application pack. The working plans he provided were detailed and allowed me to project manage most of the work myself. The house follows the Design for Life ethos and is practical as well as stylish and contemporary. He was also flexible with his design and allowed me to 'tweak' without getting cross! Now that the house is nearly finished I am seeing smaller details and views, not obvious on the plans, that give a new dimension to the rooms. I can't wait to finish and would not hesitate to recommend Architecture-m to anyone with a project, especially if you are hoping to project manage yourself.”
