“Our grade two listed 400 year old cottage is situated in as sensitive conservation area. There were many challenges, not least, ensuring our neighbours were happy with the end result. David's expertise in all aspects is outstanding. The planning officer considered the finished product to be one of the best and most harmonious relationships and our parish council, believes our cottage to be the showcase of the village. The brief was to be sympathetic to the age and area, but contemporary and fundamentally our home. David took our brief and enhanced -by discussion- virtually every aspect of the design and build. This was a big, complex project lasting nine months. Four years on, we wouldn't change any detail. We would be delighted to speak or indeeed show our beautiful cottage to any prospective client. Additionally, David is a delight to work with and a major part of the success was due to David's calm, diligent and professional manner throughout.”

“Maya worked closely with us to produce layouts and building regulation submission for the proposed conversion of an attached garage to extend the existing kitchen, create a utility and a 3rd bedroom/study with ensuite at our property in Kingswinford. Maya was extremely professional and prompt with her responses. She sourced a structural engineer to carry the structural design required for the proposed modifications. “The job that my wife and I engaged Hawkes Edwards to do was something of a challenge, it was an extension/conversion of a grade 2 listed Georgian townhouse,which also happened to be in a conservation area in Stratford-on-Avon to be precise. Trevor and his team were excellent through all stages of our project, the consent and planning approval were seamless which relieved us of any potential stress. It was a pleasure to work with Trevor and his team and we can honestly say what they did totally transformed the house, merging the former Georgian glory with a 21st century home and thus creating one of Stratford's finest houses. Both my wife and I were delighted with the outcome as i'm sure Trevor was. Many Thanks David and Bridget Hunt.”

“Project - first story extension + remodelling other parts of house. Communication - excellent. Happy to communicate over evenings and weekend which is relatively unique and extremely useful for those with full time jobs. brief and vision - listened to us at length and for the first visit spent plenty of time on site. Ongoing input- always happy to answer questions. Guides us through the process and steers us through the ideas. Value - not the cheapest but worth it for the communication and experience. It's a professional approach that means this is great value. We explored all the options so won't have any regrets - part of the cost is the peace of mind of a thorough approach. Reliability - does as promises. Has had us over to his house for client brief, so nothing to hide and not afraid to engage fully.”
