They were great at keeping me informed on the process once I’d placed my order, and done with a personal approach which was welcomed. Having found a designer and fabric that met what I was looking for (from a great variety on the site), I was excited to see my order, and was so happy with the outcome. “We had the whole front elevation of our house fitted with internal plantation shutters in mid-September, 2018. This included the large bay windows for the lounge and front bedroom, a second bedroom window and a reception area window. From the samples shown to us by Jerry we very quickly chose a hardwood, Paulownia, finished in a white washed effect that enhanced the wood's grain. The quote for the work from George came in at a price that competed well with other products that did not offer solid wood and quality of finish. And although there was a lengthy wait for the shutters to be manufactured in China and shipped to the UK we felt that the wait would be worth it. We were delighted when the shutters arrived on time and were promptly fitted to a high standard. We can thoroughly recommend this company for their quality of service, product, fitting and adherence to quoted costs, delivery and completion times.”

“What a fantastic service offered by Maxine from Intrio Interiors based in Skipton. Very helpful and professional nothing was to much trouble when she supplied and fitted my pelmets, curtains, blinds, cushions and chair upholstery in my home. Her attention to detail was very impressive and she helped me choose some fabulous fabrics from her vast collection of sample books. Must also give a mention to Darren who works alongside Maxine helping her to fit and dress the products as he too was first class and did a superb job. Would not hesitate to recommend Intrio Interiors for all soft furnishings they are just fantastic and I am truly delighted with the jobs they have done for me.”

“R.J. Reynolds provided us with 15 large blinds for a project in Walthamstow. The blinds were grouped into 3's and there was artwork across them all. They ensured that the artwork lined up correctly which was a very difficult task. They delivered on time and organised a installer. Great communication and attention to detail. Would recommend them.”

When choosing curtains, consider their function, whether for privacy, light blocking, or decor enhancement. Take into account the room’s style, choosing curtains that complement the overall decor in terms of colour, pattern, and fabric texture. Measure the window accurately to ensure the curtains are the right size and length, considering whether you prefer floor-length or sill-length curtains. Select curtain fabrics based on light-blocking abilities, durability, and ease of cleaning.
In general, your curtains width should be double the width of your windows. For length, this depends on if you want floor length, sill length curtains or below sill. For sill length curtains, they should sit 1cm above the windowsill. Below length curtains generally sit around 15cm under the sill. For floor length curtains, ensure there is at least a 1cm gap between them and the floor. If your window has a radiator underneath it, the curtains should stop around 2-3cm above the radiator to avoid heat being absorbed by the curtain.
Simply measure from where you want your blinds to start (the rail), to where you want your blinds to finish. Add 10-15 cms to this to prevent light bleed. To ensure your blinds fit correctly, take measurements at 3 equal points across your window and use the longest size.
Any fabric can be used, but generally the most common types of fabric used are cotton, silk, linen, polyester, and combinations of these due to their lighter weight and insulating properties.
