“I just had window treatments installed by V-lonne. I ordered pirouettes and custom draperies for my living room and dining room. I even had a custom rod made for my dining room curtains. The result is absolutely stunning. It's better than I imagined it would be. “I have worked with Kathy several times in the past and have found her service extraordinary. “I have a music studio business. I remodeled the studio this past summer. I ordered curtains from Indian Selections; the velvet curtains with the white strip on top and black on the bottom. The curtains are well constructed and very durable. I didn't add the extra liner, but I will the next time I place an order with them. These are my favorite curtains!”

When choosing curtains, consider their function, whether for privacy, light blocking, or decor enhancement. Take into account the room’s style, choosing curtains that complement the overall decor in terms of colour, pattern, and fabric texture. Measure the window accurately to ensure the curtains are the right size and length, considering whether you prefer floor-length or sill-length curtains. Select curtain fabrics based on light-blocking abilities, durability, and ease of cleaning.
In general, your curtains width should be double the width of your windows. For length, this depends on if you want floor length, sill length curtains or below sill. For sill length curtains, they should sit 1cm above the windowsill. Below length curtains generally sit around 15cm under the sill. For floor length curtains, ensure there is at least a 1cm gap between them and the floor. If your window has a radiator underneath it, the curtains should stop around 2-3cm above the radiator to avoid heat being absorbed by the curtain.
Simply measure from where you want your blinds to start (the rail), to where you want your blinds to finish. Add 10-15 cms to this to prevent light bleed. To ensure your blinds fit correctly, take measurements at 3 equal points across your window and use the longest size.
