“We had new blinds installed in our home that was a rental for the past 12 years. We decided to move back and remodel. A friend had recommended this company as they had recently used Portland Window Covering for their home. My husband and I were super impressed with how great they were to work with. I was having a problem picking out the right blinds for our home. We got black-out blinds for our bedrooms, and wish we had installed those sooner as they are great. We love the blinds we chose for our downstairs. We are so happy with the quality of work and felt the price was reasonable. We had received 2 other quotes. This bid was $175 more than the lowest bid, but we went with our gut. We are so happy we did as they made the whole process a dream.”

“I am an Interior Designer at Urban Source we started by carrying Aronel Wallpaper and once her fabrics were released we just had to have them in our showroom. We've used them on several jobs and we couldn't be happier with the end results. As we all know custom jobs/fabrics can have there moments but working with Aronel on our first custom fabric job for a client was so easy. “We had Alex from NW Blinds to the house three times during this project. All three times he was on time, knew exactly what needed to be done, completed the work and departed in a timely way. Given how contractors often make their own schedules, seemingly to the disregard of their customers, I really appreciated how Alex conducted his business. He was polite, professional, helpful, and when the blinds were installed you could tell he'd been there at all - not a speck of dirt remained! Add to all that the reasonable cost of the product and its high quality, and I would recommend NW Blinds to anyone looking for new window treatments. We would certainly use them again.”

When choosing curtains, consider their function, whether for privacy, light blocking, or decor enhancement. Take into account the room’s style, choosing curtains that complement the overall decor in terms of colour, pattern, and fabric texture. Measure the window accurately to ensure the curtains are the right size and length, considering whether you prefer floor-length or sill-length curtains. Select curtain fabrics based on light-blocking abilities, durability, and ease of cleaning.
In general, your curtains width should be double the width of your windows. For length, this depends on if you want floor length, sill length curtains or below sill. For sill length curtains, they should sit 1cm above the windowsill. Below length curtains generally sit around 15cm under the sill. For floor length curtains, ensure there is at least a 1cm gap between them and the floor. If your window has a radiator underneath it, the curtains should stop around 2-3cm above the radiator to avoid heat being absorbed by the curtain.
Simply measure from where you want your blinds to start (the rail), to where you want your blinds to finish. Add 10-15 cms to this to prevent light bleed. To ensure your blinds fit correctly, take measurements at 3 equal points across your window and use the longest size.
