“Alon was absolutely fantastic, he is very professional, and you'll get the best price as well! When I started to look for blinds I didn't know which type of blind I want so I was going around and inviting people over and going to showrooms. Everyone had their own agenda and pushing their own product. From the very first interaction with Alon I noticed that he is very responsive and straightforward. He came in multiple times to my home, I asked many questions, and Alon was very patient and responded to all of them, and provided his advice. I ended up purchasing the Hunter Douglas Silhouette blinds and I can tell you I received quotes from about ten different companies! Alon gave me the best price by far, and he was so professional, from the beginning, all the way up to installation. He installed the blinds in a very professional way. He made sure they were installed in the correct depth to align with the other blinds, and that the cords were the correct length and that everything was aligned. He even helped with colour selection for my blinds to make sure they match with my home colours and style. He didn't rush me in any way and was very honest! When choosing curtains, consider their function, whether for privacy, light blocking, or decor enhancement. Take into account the room’s style, choosing curtains that complement the overall decor in terms of colour, pattern, and fabric texture. Measure the window accurately to ensure the curtains are the right size and length, considering whether you prefer floor-length or sill-length curtains. Select curtain fabrics based on light-blocking abilities, durability, and ease of cleaning.
In general, your curtains width should be double the width of your windows. For length, this depends on if you want floor length, sill length curtains or below sill. For sill length curtains, they should sit 1cm above the windowsill. Below length curtains generally sit around 15cm under the sill. For floor length curtains, ensure there is at least a 1cm gap between them and the floor. If your window has a radiator underneath it, the curtains should stop around 2-3cm above the radiator to avoid heat being absorbed by the curtain.
Simply measure from where you want your blinds to start (the rail), to where you want your blinds to finish. Add 10-15 cms to this to prevent light bleed. To ensure your blinds fit correctly, take measurements at 3 equal points across your window and use the longest size.
