“Kristin Landstrom was very helpful when we were making our choices of both style and fabric for our blinds. She offered good suggestions as to advantages and possible disadvantages of each when she saw the challenges we were trying to meet with our windows and sliders. However, she did not impose her own tastes upon us. In other words, she gave us the information we needed to make our own decisions. She was prompt for appointments, her installer was as well. Both were willing and able to give us hints about how to use our new blinds once they were installed. If you want to visit her office, it's a good idea to call in advance as she's often out on home visits/consultations. This was a very smooth and pleasant project for us, thanks to Krisitin's pleasant and helpful attitude, as well as speedy service.”

“To date Budget Blinds has installed 9 Plantation shutters in our home. I do not know how we could be happier with our experience. It started with a call to the office where we promptly schedule an appointment with Gretchen. She was on time for her appointment, she was polite, and really knew her stuff. Her suggestions for solutions varied some for each room, and are we glad we took her suggestions as we see the benefits of the variations in each room. Jason showed up on time. He is also polite, knowledgeable, and left all rooms as clean as when he arrived. One set of blinds had a factory default. Jason pointed it out to us and they ordered replacements with not a hesitation. If Jason had not pointed it out, I doubt either of us would of noticed it. They have a customer for life. And we will not waste our time shopping around for future projects”

Measure the window accurately to ensure the curtains are the right size and length, considering whether you prefer floor-length or sill-length curtains. Select curtain fabrics based on light-blocking abilities, durability, and ease of cleaning.
In general, your curtains width should be double the width of your windows. For length, this depends on if you want floor length, sill length curtains or below sill. For sill length curtains, they should sit 1cm above the windowsill. Below length curtains generally sit around 15cm under the sill. For floor length curtains, ensure there is at least a 1cm gap between them and the floor. If your window has a radiator underneath it, the curtains should stop around 2-3cm above the radiator to avoid heat being absorbed by the curtain.
Simply measure from where you want your blinds to start (the rail), to where you want your blinds to finish. Add 10-15 cms to this to prevent light bleed. To ensure your blinds fit correctly, take measurements at 3 equal points across your window and use the longest size.
