“I had never ordered anything custom made for my home- as far as window treatments so I was a little skeptical about how the experience would go. I wanted blinds for my "wall" of windows in our family room. I was totally amazed and pleased with how easy Mary was to work with and bounce ideas off of-I felt like we had known each other for years! She was helpful without being pushy and guided me without being overbearing. In short... she was awesome! She came and measured and ordered my blinds and had them installed just in time for my son's graduation party! So exactly one year later she came back and took care of my kitchen in the same pleasant, efficient manner with which she had taken care of the family room. This summer we are getting new windows and again she has come to my rescue-sending her wonderful installer George to my home to skillfully and efficiently take down those custom blinds for the installation of the windows. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone I know!”

“I've been a client of Lynn's for years. We are now working on my third home together. I can't say enough positive things about her. My first project with her was to finish a basement in a 50 year old home. We picked paint colors, carpet, and furniture style/fabric together. The little things/suggestions are what made a big difference. Our beautiful basement sold my home! Then we moved onto house #2 which I lived in for 9 years. Take into account the room’s style, choosing curtains that complement the overall decor in terms of colour, pattern, and fabric texture. Measure the window accurately to ensure the curtains are the right size and length, considering whether you prefer floor-length or sill-length curtains. Select curtain fabrics based on light-blocking abilities, durability, and ease of cleaning.
In general, your curtains width should be double the width of your windows. For length, this depends on if you want floor length, sill length curtains or below sill. For sill length curtains, they should sit 1cm above the windowsill. Below length curtains generally sit around 15cm under the sill. For floor length curtains, ensure there is at least a 1cm gap between them and the floor. If your window has a radiator underneath it, the curtains should stop around 2-3cm above the radiator to avoid heat being absorbed by the curtain.
Simply measure from where you want your blinds to start (the rail), to where you want your blinds to finish. Add 10-15 cms to this to prevent light bleed. To ensure your blinds fit correctly, take measurements at 3 equal points across your window and use the longest size.
